Hauk Heimdallsman

SOlo Artist and member of the band Elf Queen, In addition to being a prolific musician and songwriter, Hauk has achieved great success as a producer and engineer. He was trained by Michael Verdick (Madonna, the Eagles) and Dale “D-Wiz” Everingham (Mazzy Star, En Vogue, Toni Tony Tone), then interned with Grammy award winner Tom Weir (Willie Nelson, Toots and the Maytals). He served on faculty at Antelope Valley College, helping to train the next generation of audio engineers.

Rising Appalachia cultivates a similar symbiosis in their music, where Southern folk traditions, New Orleans swamp culture, and Atlanta’s street spirit strengthen each other.

Sisters Leah Song and Chloe Smith were raised in Atlanta The two sisters began a wildly creative and successful career that has included busking in New Orleans, traveling with a circus from Southern Italy to Northern Sweden, and collecting songs in Ireland, Bulgaria and Colombia. Rising Appalachia also features the creative musicianship of Duncan Wickel (fiddle, cello), David Brown (upright bass, baritone guitar) and Biko Casini (drums, percussion) — each tradition keepers in their own right.

We believe in the power of live music. Our station allows AI tools only if the music remains deeply human and authentic.


The Golden Rule
We only play songs that a human artist can fully perform live on stage.

Allowed
Production Help: AI used for mixing, mastering, or cleaning up sound.
Creative Spark: AI used to help write lyrics or brainstorm musical chords.
Backing Tracks: AI elements that replace standard electronic backing tracks used in live shows.

Not Allowed
Vocal Clones: Fake voices mimicking real artists.
100% AI Tracks: Songs generated entirely by typing text into software.
Impossible Music: Sounds, speeds, or vocal ranges a human cannot physically replicate live.

Submission Rule
Artists must tell us if they used generative AI. We may ask for a raw acoustic video to prove you can play the song live.
